The Development Series is a racing series put on by local clubs and sailing centers. The series is focused on providing an environment for sailors to start to familiarize themselves with racing experience. Sailors should have already done some practice races at their home program. Sailors ages 8-19, who live in Washington and Oregon, and have not done lots of racing are encouraged to participate. These races are focused on developing racers, hosts, and new volunteers. These events are purposely small to be able to provide a very safe and friendly learning environment. Friendly competition, camaraderie, and great hosts/venues make this series a great way to build community. Read the NORs to find out what type of boats are being sailed.
